Privacy policy

This policy covers downloadvideotiktok.net and the SnapTik tool that runs on it. It is short because the site collects very little.

What is collected when you download

The link you paste is used to fetch the file and is not kept afterwards. This site has no database, so there is nowhere for a download history to live. There is no sign-up, no login, and no profile attached to you.

Your request reaches the web server carrying the usual technical details, such as an IP address, a browser string, and a timestamp. Every website receives those. They are not assembled into a picture of you here.

Error logs

A technical line is written only when a download fails. It exists so the fault can be traced and repaired. It records what went wrong rather than who you are. A download that succeeds produces no entry at all.

Cookies

One cookie is in use today. Its name begins with ssdl_ and ends with a random token. It lives for 120 seconds, uses path=/ and SameSite=Lax, and is set only as a download completes. That tells the page the file is ready. The cookie policy covers it in more detail.

Third parties

There are no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels, and no social widgets on these pages. Files are fetched from TikTok and Douyin content servers on your behalf, so those servers see a request coming from this site. What TikTok does with its own data is governed by TikTok, not by this policy.

If advertising is enabled here in future, an advertising partner would load its own code in your browser and set its own cookies. None of that is running today. This policy and the cookie page would be updated before it started.

Children

This site is not aimed at children and asks nobody for personal details. Since no account exists, no age is collected either.

Your choices

Because nothing is stored under your name, there is no account to close and no archive to export. You can block or clear cookies in your browser whenever you like. Doing that will not stop a download; at most the finished state is signalled less cleanly.

Some people would rather no request ever reached the TikTok content servers. In that case the honest answer is to skip downloaders entirely.

Security

Less stored data means less to lose. Even so, no site can promise perfect security, and this one makes no such claim. Requests pass over an encrypted connection.
