What to include when something breaks

A report that says only "it does not work" is hard to act on. The more of the following you can give, the faster the cause turns up:

  • The exact link you pasted, copied from the Share menu.
  • Your device and browser, for example iPhone with Safari or Windows with Chrome.
  • Which button you pressed and what appeared on screen afterwards.
  • Any error text, quoted or in a screenshot.
  • Roughly when you tried, and your time zone.

First check whether the account is private, the video was deleted, or the post is region-locked. Those three fail by design and no fix exists.

Copyright and takedown notices

Send those to the same address, but follow the format set out on the DMCA page. A notice missing the required details takes longer to process, and an incomplete one cannot be acted on at all.

Privacy requests

There is no account to delete and no stored history to export, because the site keeps neither. If you still want to ask what is held, write and ask. The privacy policy covers it in detail.

How long a reply takes

This site is not staffed around the clock, so no response time is promised here. Messages are read in the order they arrive, with copyright and privacy matters looked at first. If a week goes by with nothing, send the message again.

What email cannot solve

Nobody here can recover a deleted TikTok video, open a private account, or restore an expired Story. Nothing here changes what the TikTok app itself shows you. Requests of that kind get a short reply pointing back to this page.

Ideas are welcome, especially ones that come from a real failure you hit. Say what you were trying to do and what got in the way. Not every request can be built, and none of them comes with a promised date.
